Recently, in the field of chemical materials, the innovative applications and industrial development related to silicone oil have become the focus. In terms of industrial manufacturing, the "20,000-ton Silicone Oil and Deep Processing Project" of Zhejiang Tiansi New Material Co., Ltd. has made significant progress. The project is located in the Cangshan Industrial Agglomeration Area of Tiantai County. Since its commencement in August last year, the main building has now been officially capped. The project is expected to enter the trial production stage by the end of this year, with a total investment of 225 million yuan. It plans to adopt a fully automated continuous production line and a DCS distributed control system to achieve closed-loop operation throughout the process. The production process will achieve "zero discharge" of wastewater and ultra-low emission of waste gas. Tiansi New Material focuses on high-end product areas such as methyl silicone oil, functional silicone oil, and silicone artificial leather. Its products have characteristics such as high-temperature aging resistance and environmental safety, and are widely used in industries such as textiles and automotive interiors. Among them, silicone artificial leather forms an upstream and downstream synergy with automotive interior enterprises in the park, further extending the industrial chain; functional silicone oil targets the foreign high-end market, meeting EU environmental protection standards with a green production process and helping Chinese related products enhance their export competitiveness. The implementation of this project is not only an important practice of Tiantai County's "Industrial Eastward Movement" strategy but also will become a benchmark for the high-quality development of the silicone new material field in Tiantai's "Intelligent Manufacturing City." In the field of technological applications, Runhe Materials has achieved remarkable results in the modified silicone oil immersion liquid cooling technology and has realized industrial application, becoming a leader in the industry. Runhe Materials has independent intellectual property rights and related patents for modified silicone oil coolant. Its safety is outstanding. In the immersion liquid cooling of energy storage large-capacity lithium batteries and electric bicycles, it has taken the lead in passing the national standard tests, ensuring safe use without smoking, fire, or explosion. In terms of efficiency improvement, using its immersion liquid cooling solution, the cycle life of energy storage batteries can be increased by 33%, and the theoretical cruising range of electric bicycles can be increased by about 33%. The cost of modified silicone oil is only one-tenth of that of fluorinated liquid. Currently, Runhe Materials has achieved mass production of energy storage immersion liquid cooling through cooperation with downstream manufacturers and is promoting the application of this technology in more terminals such as data center servers. Recently, the "High-Quality Development Action Plan for the New Energy Storage Manufacturing Industry" jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other eight departments clearly puts forward relevant safety requirements and includes "fully immersed fire prevention" in the technology encouragement direction. Runhe Materials' technology is highly consistent with the policy. The ultra-low viscosity coolant of its modified silicone oil medium has a "temperature control and fire extinguishing integration" fire protection function. In the application of data centers, the rated cooling capacity of the single-phase immersion liquid cooling system is ≥66kW, the temperature control accuracy is ±1℃, and with the two-phase direct cooling system, the energy-saving efficiency is increased by 30%, demonstrating strong market competitiveness. Hangzhou Chongyao Technology Development Co., Ltd. has also performed outstandingly in the innovation of silicone oil market applications. As a subsidiary of Xin'an Group focusing on the modified silicone oil segment of the silicone industry, Chongyao Technology has maintained an average annual compound growth rate of about 30% since it officially went into production in 2018. Currently, its production capacity of modified silicone oil and silicone oil deep processing products reaches 40,000 tons/year, making it the largest production base for special functional silicone materials in East China. The market shares of Chongyao Technology's leading products, special modified silicone oil and special silicone release agents, in the domestic market exceed 20% and 15% respectively, ranking among the top three in the industry. In the fields of optical fiber special coatings and food contact release agents, it ranks first in the industry. In the field of modified silicone oil, Chongyao Technology has broken the previous monopoly of imported products. Its products can not only compete with international brands but also have a cost advantage. It has already had strong competitiveness in import substitution and has completed the transformation from a product supplier to a comprehensive solution provider. For example, in the cooperation with Zhejiang Huafeng New Material Co., Ltd., it has achieved innovative application breakthroughs. In the medical field, silicone oil, as a vitreous cavity filler, plays an important role in surgeries for complex retinal detachment or proliferative vitreoretinopathy. It can act like a "pillar" to press on the retina and promote its reattachment. However, a recent case received by the Ophthalmology Department of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University reminds people that although silicone oil is a "temporary helper" in surgery, as a temporary filling material, international guidelines recommend that silicone oil be removed within 3 - 6 months after surgery. Long-term retention in the eye may lead to various complications. For example, after emulsification, a large number of tiny silicone oil droplets will form in the eye, causing secondary glaucoma, cataract, corneal damage, retinal toxicity, endophthalmitis, and other problems, seriously threatening eyesight. Therefore, patients need to have regular monthly follow-ups after surgery. If symptoms such as increased intraocular pressure, cataract progression, corneal damage, and signs of infection occur, they need to seek medical attention immediately and follow the doctor's advice to remove the silicone oil in a timely manner after the retina is stable to protect eyesight health.
